THE NORTHERN AMENITY FORUM:

The Northern Amenity Forum is a regional group of the Amenity Forum - it was started by a group of local authorities in Northern England, including: Calderdale; Doncaster; Wakefield; York; Barnsley and Bradford Councils.

Other local authorities that have attended our conferences have included: Sheffield; Rotherham; North Lincolnshire; Oldham; Pendle; Kirklees; Middlesbrough; Scarborough; Harrogate; Blackpool; Bury; Chester; Darlington; St Helens; Leeds; NE Derbyshire and Stockport..

We have now expanded out our conference delegates to include distributors, contractors and other interested parties - with attendances from: Vale Engineering; Nomix Enviro; Sherriff Amenity; Rigby Taylor; JSD Rail; Languard; STRI and CWGC.

The group currently hosts 2 conferences per year in January and July, with presentations and interactive sessions on a range of topics related to pesticide use in Amenity situations.

Our conferences so far:

  • July 2008 - the inaugural meeting - Kings Hall, Halifax - hosted by Calderdale Council.
  • January 2009 - Woolley Hall, Wakefield - hosted by Wakefield Council.
  • July 2009 - The Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster - hosted by Doncaster Council.
  • January 2010 - York Racecourse, York - hosted by York City Council.
  • July 2010 - Cannon Hall, Cawthorne - hosted by Barnsley Council.
